User Guide

How to use Sleep Lab Engine — step by step.

1. Getting started

Open Sleep Lab Engine in your browser. Choose your language in the Language menu at the top.
Press Account → Continue with Google to sign in. An account is needed to use the sound engine.
New accounts can press Start 5-Day Free Trial. The trial lets you create and listen to soundscapes; export / download is not included. One free trial per person.
For continued use, choose Premium (30 days or 1 year) in the Account panel.

2. Create a soundscape

Press ⭐ Generate Smart. A new soundscape is created and starts playing automatically; its name appears above the play button. Press it again for another one.
Press ▼ next to it to choose a sound category: ⭐ Smart (Recommended), 🌧 Rain, 🌊 Ocean, 🌲 Forest, 🔥 Fire, 🌌 Space, 🌫 Noise or 🎲 Surprise Me. Smart picks a balanced sleep scene for you. The main button then generates that category.
The first soundscape of a category may take a moment while its natural recordings download. After that they are kept on your device and start faster.

3. Generate Similar

Like the current sound but want a variation? Press ✨ Generate Similar. It keeps the character of the current soundscape (same kind of scene) and changes the details. If you are already listening, the new version fades in smoothly.

4. Playback controls

▶ starts playback, Stop stops it.
🎚 Customize Mixer opens the volume of each sound layer (for example rain, wind or noise) so you can adjust the balance.
❤️ Favorite saves the current soundscape. ⚙ Advanced Project Controls contains Recent History, Saved Favorites and the Seed tools (Copy Seed, Import Seed, Lock Seed) to recreate or share an exact soundscape.

5. Sleep timer

Choose Sleep Timer: Off, 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, 3 hours or 8 hours. Playback stops automatically when the time is up. The timer follows the real clock, so it still ends on time if the screen was off.

6. Phone: background and lock-screen playback

Start playback in the page, then lock the screen: the sound keeps playing and the lock screen shows play / pause controls.
Keep the browser tab open (do not close it or swipe the browser away).
iPhone / iPad: turn off Low Power Mode for long sessions. The volume buttons set the overall level; the in-app mixer sets the balance between sounds.
You can add Sleep Lab Engine to your home screen from the browser's share / menu button for quick access.

7. Computer

Sleep Lab Engine works in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox. A computer is recommended for long exports (1 to 8 hours). WAV exports longer than one hour need Chrome or Edge on a computer, which save the file directly to disk; in other browsers choose MP3.

8. Export / download

Choose the length in the duration menu (1 min to 8 hours).
Press Export WAV (best quality, larger file) or Export MP3 (smaller file).
Keep the tab open until the export finishes; long exports take several minutes.

Export needs Premium or an Exclusive Sound license for that soundscape. It is not included in the free trial.

Exclusive Sound license: uses 5 Credits and reserves this exact Sound DNA for your account. It includes exports from 1 minute to 8 hours and a Certificate PDF; exporting the same licensed soundscape again does not use more Credits. It is a license, not a transfer of copyright — see the Terms of Use.

9. Account, Premium and Credits

Premium lasts 30 days or 1 year. You can pay once (no automatic renewal) or, where offered (App Store, Google Play, PayPal outside Vietnam), tick Renew automatically so it renews every period until you cancel. Cancel any time from the Account panel; Premium stays active until the end of the paid period.
Prices depend on your region: in Vietnam prices are in VND and paid with PayOS; in other countries prices are in USD and paid with PayPal. If checkout says international payments are not available yet, please try again later.
Credits (packages of 10, 50, 150 or 500) are available to Premium members and are used for Exclusive Sound licenses. Press the Credits badge to buy more.
Access is added only after the payment is confirmed by our server. If something you paid for does not appear, open Account → Restore purchases.
Delete account (Account panel) permanently deletes your account after you type DELETE to confirm.

10. Promo codes and agent codes

Have a promo code? Account → I have a promo code. The prices shown are updated if the code applies. Some promotions apply automatically.
If an agent gave you a code or link, the Account panel shows I have an agent code while the agent programme is open; an agent offer can apply to your first purchase.
Agent code: on your first purchase on the web, enter the code in the Agent / referral code (optional) field above the prices and press Apply. The prices shown then include the agent offer. The field appears only while the agent programme is open.
Only one discount applies per purchase: a promotion and an agent offer are never combined — the larger discount is applied at checkout.

11. Troubleshooting

No sound: press ▶ again (browsers need a tap before playing sound), check the device volume and that the tab is not muted.
Sound stops when the phone is locked: keep the tab open, start playback before locking, turn off Low Power Mode / battery saver.
Export is locked: export needs Premium or an Exclusive Sound license (not the free trial).
Long export fails on a phone: choose a shorter length or MP3, or export on a computer.
Paid but Premium / Credits are missing: Account → Restore purchases. If it still does not appear, contact support with your order code.
Free trial not available: the trial needs a Google sign-in and is limited to one per person.
